25th annual Auburn CityFest — Pirates of the Plains set for April 25
April 09 2026
AUBURN, Ala. – The 25th annual Auburn CityFest, hosted by the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation Department, returns to Kiesel Park on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This free, family-friendly festival is Auburn’s largest outdoor event and will celebrate its milestone year with the 2026 theme, Pirates of the Plains. Attendees can expect a full day of live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, cultural showcases, children’s activities, food trucks and more.
This year’s headlining act is Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, an action-packed production featuring high-energy stunts and theatrical storytelling. The show centers around a towering 60-foot pirate ship where performers duel, slide and scale the rigging in a fast-paced display of acrobatics. With detailed costumes, dramatic lighting, immersive sets and a driving musical score, the performance delivers a family-friendly spectacle designed to bring pirate lore to life.
CityFest will also feature a full lineup of musical entertainment, including headlining band Sons of a Sailor, a nationally recognized Jimmy Buffett tribute band, along with performances by The Brokers Band and the Auburn University Steel Drum Band.
Additional entertainment includes the Auburn University Raptor Center, the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, Southeast Disc Dogs, stilt walker Todd Key, ScoutFest presented by Scouting America’s Chattahoochee Council, KoreaFest and the Taiwan Center presented by Auburn University’s Office of International Programs, inflatables, face painting, a Children’s ArtFest tent with hands-on crafts, a children’s art exhibition and special appearances by Aubie. The Juried Art Show, featuring work from regional artists, will be on display inside the Historic Nunn-Winston House throughout the festival. The Auburn Fire Department and Auburn Police Department/DARE will also be on-site with interactive displays.
More than 100 arts and crafts vendors will be in attendance, along with numerous food vendors and the annual Nonprofit Showcase.
Auburn Parks and Recreation extends its sincere gratitude to the generous sponsors who help make CityFest possible.
